HOW TO VOTE

The election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eligible voters must present a valid ID to cast a ballot.

POLLING LOCATIONS

  • Find locations on the Iowa Secretary of State’s website: https://sos.iowa.gov/elections-voting

  • Additional local election information is available through your county auditor’s office

 

VOTER REGISTRATION

  • If you are not registered to vote, you may complete a registration form and return it to your county auditor’s office before October 20

  • Same-day registration is available at your polling location on election day

ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL

  • First day to request a mailed absentee ballot from your county auditor's office: August 26, 2025

  • Ballots will begin mailing on October 15, 2025

  • Deadline to request a mailed ballot: October 20, 2025

  • Completed ballots must be received by your county auditor’s office before 8:00 p.m. on election day to be considered for counting

IN-PERSON ABSENTEE VOTING

  • Available at your county auditor’s office beginning October 15, 2025

  • Open weekdays during regular business hours through November 3, 2025
